  本书大多涉及到建国后的几次大运动，收录的主要是一些作家的回忆录以及对往昔沉痛的反省。在那个年代，人们为防止说梦话，临睡前会衔着手绢；某君只因喊口号是将“万岁”和“打倒”颠倒而当场“揪斗”；人们小心翼翼，噤若寒蝉，说话生怕有人偷听；烧，文字、文稿、日记、信件……统统都烧掉；砸，景泰蓝花瓶，雕刻，牌匾……统统的砸。这些故事足以写出来并冠之以“啼笑皆非”，当时人们的想象力真是丰富，举一例，某君每晚边啃馒头边读毛选，被指控为“对毛主席的著作咬牙切齿”。以前曾看到一本介绍知青的书，书名叫《青春无悔》，当时觉得这四字真的令人振奋，看完后，我脑中始终徘徊着一个问号，“他们真的无悔吗？真的对美好青春的白白流逝无悔吗？”现在我想是的，那几场运动不知耗尽了多少人的精力，多少人已经感到麻木了。

  追求自由，宽容多少前辈的目标啊。耶稣以身殉道，提倡爱人如己，四海之内皆兄弟，但基督教得势后，照样设立自己的宗教裁判所，迫害异己。这多少与建国后的情形相似，为自由民主不懈斗争胜利后，又成为其它持异见者的死地，真是起奇怪的悖论。

  我总觉得这些运动始终与一个人有关，“四人帮”固然可恶，但最后将屎盆子扣在他们的头上不公平，总觉得一些人想回避什么，我也不太清楚。据毛泽东身边的工作人员的回忆录所述，晚年的毛泽东行为古怪，多疑，说话靠身边的人员翻译，涎水直流……天哪，偌大的一个国家交由一个“老糊涂”治理真是太危险了。

[新闻官]：女士们，先生们，我们今天很荣幸很高兴地邀请国务院总理温家宝与采访十一届全国人大一次会议的中外记者见面，并且请温家宝回答大家的提问，同时我们也非常高兴地邀请国务院副总理李克强，回良玉，张德江，王岐山陪同温总理一起同大家见面，下面请温总理讲几句话。

[翻译]：Ladies and gentlemen,good morning.It gives us a great honor and pleasure to invite WenJiabao,the premier of the State Council to meet the press from those home and abroad covering the session of the 11th people's congress,and answer your questions.and we are also very happy to invite vice premier LiKeqing,HuiLiangyu,ZangDejiang and WangQishan to accompany Premier Wen at this meeting.Now I wonld like to handle my microphone to Premier Wen.

[温]：女士们，先生们，上午好。第十一届全国人大第一次会议闭幕了，会议选举产生了新一届的政府。现在我把和我一同出席这次记者招待会的各位副总理给大家介绍一下，坐在我旁边的是李克强，他是我们副总理中最年轻的一位，也是中共中央政治局常委。

[翻译]：Ladies and gentlemen,dear journists,good morning.The fist sission of the 11th people's congress has concluded just now.At that session a new government was elected ,and I would like to take this opportunities to introduce the newly-elected vice premiers attending this meeting.The sitting on my right is Mr LiKeqiang,vice premier and he is also the youngest vice premier on this government.He is also a member of standing commitee of the Political Bureao of the Central Commitee of the Communist Party of China.

[温]：回良玉，大家都熟悉了，他是上届副总理，这次是连任。

[翻译]：I think you are all familiar with vice premier HuiLiangyu,who is also set on the previous government as the vice premier,and this time he is reelected.

[温]：我们还有两位新任副总理，一位是张德江，一位是王岐山，他们都曾担任过地方大员。

[翻译]：And we have two more new vice premiers,Mr ZhangDejiang,Mr WangQishan,and they used be in charge of major provinces and municipalities.

[温]：现在我愿接受大家的提问

[翻译]：Now I am willing to take up your questions.

[凤凰卫视]：上届政府曾经历了两次另全球华人为之牵挂的突发危机的发生，五年前大家都想知道至今也还不知道当时新任总理的您经历了非典当时您的心路历程，五年之后，突如其来的南方的冻雪灾害，人们又看到您奔走在就在的前线，这场雪灾让您感悟到了什么？至今印象深刻？而面对显得五年，您认为中国还将面临什么新的挑战？本届政府将会怎样面对？

[翻译]：Thank you Mr spokeman,and thank you Mr premier.We still recall at that for the previous government,there were two occasions that the overseas Chinese and Chinese in this country are most concerned about because there were crisis.For example,five years ago,there was the crisis caused by the SARS epidemic,at that time,we very much want to know and we still do not know what was the state of mind of your minister premier During the crisis ,5 years later,much part of China wsa hit by the disaster of sleet and snow storms,once again,you are on the forefront of the fight against the disaster,and I would like to know what expressed you the most during the fight against the natural disaster.Looking ahead ,at the next 5 years,we would like to know what are the major challenges in your mind,and what does the goveronment plan to meet the challenges.

[温]：五年已经过去。行事鉴于当时，是非功于后世，历史是人民创造的，也是人民书写的。

[翻译]：Five years has passed .What one does now will be fairly judged by history.History is created by people and writen by the people.

[温]：一个领导者应该把眼睛盯住前方，把握现在，思考未来，我脑子里在盘旋四件事

[翻译]：As a leader,his eyes should be on the way ahead,and his energy should be focused on the present,at the same time,he should be thinking of the future,I have been thinking about four things on my mind.

[温]：一，要使中国的经济继续保持平稳较快发展，同时抑制通货膨胀，这就必须解决经济发展中的不稳定、不协调、不可持续的问题。

[翻译]：Number one,we need to insure the fast yet steady economic development in this country.At the same time,we need to effectively hold down infaltion.To attain this goal,we need to address the problem of unstable,uncoordinated and unsustainable economic development.

[温]：目前最大的困难是物价过快上涨和通货膨胀带来的压力，隐藏的风险是经济可能出现的波动，我们必须在这两者之间走出一条光明的路子。

[翻译]：The biggest difficulties we face now are two things: on the hand,wo face the excessive growth of prices,on the another hand,wo are also on the mounting inflationary pressure,we also face the potential risks fo drastic economic fluctuations.That is why we need to blaze a trail in between that we insure a bright future.

[温]：第二，经济体制和政治体制改革要有新的突破，这就必须解放思想，解放思想需要勇气，决心和献身精神。解放思想和改革创新，如果说，前者是因的的话，那么后者则是果。五年前，我曾面对大家发过誓：“苟利国家生死以，岂因祸福趋避之”，我今天还想加一句，“天变不足畏，祖宗不足法，人言不足恤”。

[翻译]：Number two,we need to make new breakthroughs in advancing the reform of the political system and economic system,to attain this goal,we need to free our minds and to free our my minds ,we need to have encourage,resolve and spirit of dedication.And we talk about the free of our minds and reform innovation,I believe that the former ,the free of our minds is the cause and the reform innovation is the effect .Five years ago,in front of the same audiences,I made a promise which is also my motto that one should uphold his countries interest with his life,he should not do things just to pursue personal gains and he should not evade responsibilities for fear or personal loss.Today,I would like to add a few more lines:one should not fear changes under the heaven,and one should not blingly follow old convention and one should not be detered by the complaint of other people.

    When Chris Gardner，played by Will Smith in The pursuit of happyness,was in his lowest time，he said those to his lovely son.At that time,life got tougher for him,his wife departed him ,leaving nothing but his son.What on the earth supported him in the face of difficulties?Maybe it is the power of dream——the dream of being a stockbroker.

 这是我看完话剧《罗生门》后脑中一直浮现的一句话。
